Vincent Lextrait
Vincent is the founder of Metaspex. He spent his entire career in the technology industry, in research, engineering, team management and business responsibilities.
He worked successively for the largest ERP vendor in Europe (now IBM), Matra Marconi Space (now Astrium), ILOG (now IBM) an INRIA startup spinoff, and Amadeus, the travel technology leader. At Amadeus, he and the team he hired built all the layers from iron and up that allow Amadeus to sustain 40,000 transactions per second, which compares for instance as ~60% of the traffic Google Search delivered worldwide in 2019. Bjarne Stroustrup
Bjarne is Metaspex's technology advisor.
Inventor of the C++ programming language, winner of the 2018 Draper Prize, of the Faraday Medal, the IEEE Computer Pioneer Award, the ACM Grace Murray Hopper Award, IEEE and ACM Fellow. He is visiting professor at Columbia University and Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. Bjarne's contributions to Software are innumerable, impossible to summarize here. They even extend to our Solar System, as C++ runs inside the Mars Rovers. If you have used any piece of software, you have used something he helped create. C++ is everywhere, from Operating Systems, Browsers, Databases of all kinds, Office tools, in your car or your phone, any piece of modern software with high ambitions. It is Bjarne's lifetime work which allows Metaspex to achieve both a high level of abstraction and performance difficult to match with hand-written code. see more... |

Jean-Philippe Mesure
Jean-Philippe is Metaspex's business advisor.
Jean-Philippe started his own consultancy, ITS4T, in September 2016. ITS4T focuses on advising Airlines with their IT and Distribution services sourcing strategy and supporting them in its execution of their strategy. ITS4T also performs research studies for industry bodies such as IATA. Previously, Jean-Philippe worked with the Amadeus IT Group (GDS and IT provider to the travel industry) where he developed most of his career, from the creation of the company in 1987, until June 2016. From 2011 till 2016, Jean-Philippe held the position of Vice President Airlines Commercial for the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America regions. In this position, Jean-Philippe was responsible for developing the relationships with airlines and managing the resulting Amadeus P&L (€2 billion+). In this position, Jean-Philippe headed a team of 150+ Account Management and Sales team members with offices in the different markets he was responsible for. From 2002 till 2016 Jean-Philippe was part of the Airline Business Unit Leadership team where he held several senior commercial roles. In particular, he built up the Amadeus Altea Customer Portfolio worldwide. In these roles, Jean-Philippe developed an extensive knowledge both of the Airline industry and of the distribution and IT services providers to Airlines (services, business models, Customer base, trends, etc.). Previously, Jean-Philippe held different management positions with Amadeus on the solution development side, starting in 1987 in Miami where he built up the Amadeus TPF development organization and continuing from 1990 in France, heading up a software development organization. Jean-Philippe started his career with Air France from 1981 to 1987. He is a civil engineer and graduated from Supélec, France, in 1979. |
Julie Wei
Julie is Metaspex's engineering advisor.
She has an extensive managerial experience (400+ FTEs). She is fearless and knows how to deliver the toughest projects. On top of this she is recognized for her world-class hiring skills. She is one of these very scarce professionals who, in parallel of team management kept a deep technological hands-on expertise. In a world where half of the professionals have less than 3.5 years of experience, she cumulates an impressive decades-long know-how of back-end technology. Julie worked for Continental Airlines, Connected Corporation, Iron Mountain Digital, Hewlett-Packard, Pearson Education, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Scholastic, SilverRail (at the time an Expedia company). She is currently SVP of Content Technologies at Starz. She has a Master in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |

Yves Djorno
Yves is Metaspex's strategy advisor.
He is one of the founders of Talentware, a firm specialized in strategy and talent optimization. He works with companies that want to improve their performance, by federating their teams around a shared vision and aligning the right people for the right job. His approach is based on both C-level management consulting and talent software implementation. The goal is always to help change-oriented leaders build capabilities to push the boundaries even further. Previously, he was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where he led big projects mixing strategy, organization, and technology. As a manager at BNP Paribas, he had the opportunity to drive a very large-scale program to develop the leading European card payment platform, in cooperation with some competitors. He holds a PhD in computer science based on the technology that inspired Metaspex. |
Bob Allard
Bob advises Metaspex on so many fronts that it is impossible to list exhaustively. Bob is a seasoned entrepreneur, businessman, mentor, innovator and "connector".
Bob Allard is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Extension Engine, a consultancy that helps design, build and grow custom learning experiences that deliver "great engagement at scale" for higher education, nonprofits and businesses, and Agilathon, a firm expert at designing, building, testing and supporting mobile clinical trials. Prior to founding Extension Engine, he was a social worker and worked in the Boston tech economy. He has a passion for connecting people, ideas and technology, and holds a BA in Philosophy from the College of the Holy Cross. |
